Joining ZIP VIRTUAL in July 2020, Karl brought fresh energy and vision to the team. Over time, his role evolved from pilot into Chief Operating Officer, where he now oversees schedules, manages events, and ensures a smooth and immersive experience for pilots across the virtual airline group.
Jonathan Burrell
Director of Airline Operations - ZIP VIRTUAL

Jonathan is ZIP VIRTUAL's Director of Airline Operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, he oversees all aspects of ZIP VIRTUAL's daily operations, whilst flying the A320 and 737 for the group. Jonathan and Kevin often organise events for the group.
Kevin Lerman
Director of Airline Operations - Acer & SkyFront

Kevin serves as Acer & SkyFront’s Director of Airline Operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, he oversees all aspects of Acer & SkyFront daily operations, whilst flying the line himself. Kevin started SkyFront as it's own VA but merged it into ZIP VIRTUAL in July 2025, creating the ZIP GROUP.
Alan Busch
Director of Maintenance

Alan reports to the CEO & Chief Operating Officer. He looks after the group's fleet, maintenance and reviews PIREPs to ensure our pilots are flying safely, whilst looking after our aircraft. He also withdraws aircraft from service when required to ensure they receive the love and care they deserve.

Harry serves as ZIP VIRTUAL’s Director of Communications, bringing creativity and clarity to how the airline connects with its community. From crafting engaging announcements to keeping pilots informed and involved, he plays a key role in shaping the airline’s friendly and professional tone across all platforms.
